About
Hello, I'm Megan, an independent consultant.
I'm an independent consultant and coach with a background in management consulting, international development, and conservation. I hold an MPA from Columbia University and have worked with Dalberg, Kearney, and Pegasys. My work has included engagements for organizations such as the Mastercard Foundation, USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Resources Institute, and the Wildlife Conservation Society, as well as work supporting the Ministry of Health of Mozambique.
My path into independent consulting wasn't perfectly planned. After a layoff, I had to figure out how to build work without the structure, security, or pipeline of a traditional job - how to turn broad experience into a clear offer, find the right organizations and decision-makers, and create opportunities when there wasn't a job description or RFP to respond to.
I learned a lot of that the hard way.
Today, I use those lessons alongside my consulting experience to help experienced professionals build their own path into independent work.
My approach is grounded in action. We position your expertise around problems clients will pay you to solve, build relationships with the right decision-makers, develop a real pipeline, and turn promising conversations into paid work.

How I work
Direct, not just reflective
I ask hard questions, and I also give you my read. You leave sessions with a decision or a next action, not only a feeling.
Sector-specific
Impact, climate, and international development have their own buyers, budget cycles, and procurement quirks. We work inside that reality.
Built on practice
Everything I coach on is what I use to find and win my own work. I only coach methods that have worked for me.
